From time to time, events occur that shake the very ground on which we stand. One such event occurred this past Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Lapel when Amanda Wiles became the victim of a horrendous murder.
An arrest warrant for has been issued for Roy Parmely of Lapel.
Police say 53-year old Roy Parmley tied up his ex-girlfriend, 53-year old Terri Wiles, and her daughter, 31-year old Amanda Wiles, in their rural Madison County home early Saturday. Police say he fatally shot Amanda Wiles before threatening to kill himself and running from the scene.
The warrant is for murder, burglary resulting in bodily injury and two counts of criminal confinement. If you see Parmley, do not approach him. He is considered armed and dangerous. Please contact the Madison County Sheriff Department or your local police at once.
Those of us at Connect! Madison County would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Amanda during this difficult time. There are no words which can possibly express what they are going through and we speak as a community when we offer support to them.
